Biography

Zoe Golding is a multidisclpinary artist and a Bunganditj and Gumbaynggirr woman based in Glasgow, Scotland. Her early experiences with her Grandmother, who was also an artist, involved responding to her natural surroundings with a sense of connection to place and the values of custodianship. Engaging this child-like perspective in her practice, Golding employs a fictional narrative device in her work to explore places familiar and foreign, resulting in a whimsical and sublime rendering of the landscape. Currently, her work responds to her experiences of living abroad. The feelings of not really fitting in here or there, but drifting somewhere in the middle.
